Zen 4 Architecture
AMD EPYC™ 9004 Series Processors are based on Zen 4 architecture, the latest iteration of AMD’s groundbreaking microarchitecture. Zen 4 introduces a number of key improvements, including increased transistor density and instruction execution optimizations, resulting in a significant increase in instructions per cycle (IPC). This increase in IPC is essential for improving performance across a wide range of applications, from gaming to intensive productivity tasks.
Colors
The AMD EPYC™ 9004 Series processors feature configurations with up to 128 cores and 256 threads, making it a formidable choice for users requiring robust multitasking performance.

This capability allows processors to effortlessly handle multiple simultaneous applications and processes, which is ideal for intensive work environments.

Cache and Latency
The AMD EPYC™ 9004 Series processors also feature significant cache improvements. These processors feature increased amounts of L2 and L3 cache, which reduces the latency in the instruction execution and improves performance in applications that rely on fast access to frequent data.

This increased cache capacity is especially beneficial in intensive work environments, where data access speed is crucial.

Material
These processors are manufactured using a 5nm process, developed in collaboration with TSMC.

This advanced manufacturing process allows AMD to increase transistor density compared to the previous generation's 7nm, resulting in higher performance per watt and better energy efficiency.

The AMD EPYC™ 9004 Serie Processors are also divided into three ranges.

“Genoa”:

  • With processors of up to 96 cores
  •  For server-intensive workloads such as cloud computing, virtualization, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing (HPC) applications
  • TDP between 240 and 400W

“Bergamo”:

  • With processors of up to 128 cores and 256MB of cache
  • 3D V-Cache that allows shared memory calculations to be handled, with the possibility of having 256 simultaneous cores and up to 6 TB of RAM, which thanks to AMD 3D V-Cache technology, takes advantage of maximum performance
  • TDP up to 360W

“Genoa-X”:

  • For servers and data centers
  • Up to 96 cores
  • Clock speed of 2.15 GHz and turbo up to 3.7 GHz
  • TDP up to 400W
  • It has 3D V-Cache technology, which implies 1.152 Megas of cache
These processors offer similar or superior performance to their direct competitors at a more affordable price, making them an attractive option for users looking to get the most out of their performance with a lower price. The combination of performance, efficiency, and cost makes the AMD EPYC™ 9004 Series processors one of the best options on the market today.

AMD has managed to deliver a product that not only competes, but in many cases outperforms the competition, all while maintaining an attractive price-performance ratio.
