SIE clusters use two independent and internal networks, one for data and one for computations (thus improving performance in parallel computations).
Gigabit technology is used in the data network to obtain good performance in the volume of data to be moved.
In the calculation network, depending on the client, we can use Gigabit technology or low latency technologies such as Infiniband or Myrinet, with which parallel calculations are significantly improved. In addition to these two networks, the main server connects to the university or research center through a third Gigabit network card and shares this connection with the rest of the nodes.
