SIE PUTS THE MOST EFFICIENT PROCESSORS AT YOUR REACH BY AMD

The lowest consumption with AMD EPYCTM  8004 Series Processors. This new family of processors estabilished a turning point in terms of efficiency.

With between 48 and 64 cores, consumption is at its highest version at only 200W.

During this year, we have launched many SIE Ladón platforms based on AMD Genoa, AMD Bergamo and Intel Saphire processors.

However, the problem posed by the new processors with many cores is the high consumption they imply (between 350-400 W).

For this reason, the American company has launched the new AMD EPYCTM 8004 Series Processors (“Siena”). These, in spite of having a large number of cores, between 48 and 64, provide single-processor solutions of less than 200 W.

This series of processors is offered in P and PN termination variants. These two versions have models ranging from 8 to 64 Cores and 16 to 128 threads. The main advantage of the PN model is that consumption is even lower, which makes it ideal for Telco projects, web services, cloud, etc.

The new AMD EPYC XNUMX Series ProcessorsTM are not only much faster than their competitors but also consume much less. Counting in the model with more cores of the P family with a TDP of 8004W and 200W in the model with fewer cores.

This proves that AMD is achieving its objectives with this new generation Zen4C. With it they aim to make cores smaller but, at the same time, more efficient, becoming the reference in processors when looking for better consumption without sacrificing performance.

This new family of the EPYC line offers, as always, the latest technologies implemented on the market:

6 pipelined to 4800 Mhz ECC registered memory, PCI-E 5.0 buses, NVME disks in M.2 or 2,5” format up to 30 TB or conventional disks up to 20 TB.

To exploit all of these qualities, SIE offers three types of solutions new technology in servers or workstations.

1U solutions
Based on the Gigabyte platform R143-EG0 (rev. AAC2).

This platform can equip 10GBaseT or 100G QSFP+ communications from the Broadcom line. Also with NVIDIA InfiniBand up to 400 Gb/s. It is an ideal solution for several uses:

1 º As cluster login server small and medium size. It can also be a small storage server of up to 90 TB net in RAID 5, both on conventional 3,5” and NVME 2,5” drives.

2 º As virtualization server, since you can have very fast NVME PCI-e 4.0 disks, for fast and efficient starting of virtual machine images. SIE offers the implementation of the Open Source PROXMOX solution, which provides a virtualization environment very effective and at zero cost.

3 º As a web or cloud server, where we can equip the 8004 PN, with low consumption, to obtain solutions with consumption below 500 W, with SATA or NVME drives, depending on your needs.

2U solutions
Based on the Gigabyte platform R243-EG0 (rev. AAL1)

This solution also allows the use of the entire range of AMD Siena 8004 processors. It also includes two 10GBaseT cards as standard (gigabit compatible and in OCP 3.0 mezzanine slots, which do not occupy PCI slots).

With a 2700 W Titanium power supply, it is an excellent solution for customers who need a system with up to 4 GPUs. It allows you to put 12 discs of both 3,5” and 2,5", making this solution very versatile and eco-friendly.

Supports all 2-slot NVIDIA cards, both from the active RTX range, such as the L40s and H100 computing, given that it equips PCI-E 5.0 slots. The device incorporates DDR5 4800 Mhz ECC registered memory and the same expansion possibilities as its sister Workstation, but designed for rack environments.

Workstation Solutions
This is a low noise solution, designed for office and laboratory environments, where they coexist with the researchers.

Based on the new Gigabyte motherboard ME03-CE1, offer the possibility of having configurations from 192 GB to 1152 GB of RAM, with a 1200 and 2000 W power supply. They can equip up to 4 double-height GPUs or processors. up to 64 cores.
