CARLA is a global event that has been held since 2014 and that seeks to promote the development and consolidation of the High Performance Computing (HPC) community in Latin America.
Its main purpose is to offer a space conducive to the exchange and dissemination of innovative ideas, techniques and research advances in the field of HPC and its various applications.
For this reason, from SIE, we want to promote our progress and services in the world of supercomputing by expanding our borders to new congresses and countries around the world.

At SIE we are very happy to have participated in this event, it was a wonderful experience to have been able to share with all the attendees our history and the development of the latest technologies to support future research.
We hope to continue in contact with the incredible researchers who participated in this CARLA 2023.
Furthermore, we are especially excited to have witnessed the tribute to Mateo Valero, in honor of his impressive career directing the BSC and for his collaboration in super computing with Latin America and the Caribbean. The award awarded will bear his name for future editions.
