WHY GIGABYTE DUAL-PROCESSOR PLATFORM COMPUTERS PERFORM MORE THAN OTHER MODELS.
Our technicians have determined performance about 10% higher than Intel and 13% higher than Supermicro. The reason is because these platforms, unlike others that incorporate a Broadcom control chip, are incorporating an integrated ARM9 processor on the board for HW management.
The result is that part of the peripheral control tasks that the main Xeon Broadwell processor usually has to assume, here are performed by the secondary chip and at a higher speed.
To give you an idea of performance, an ARM9 chip is similar to the main processor that Smart TVs or Rasberry computers have, which allow us to control an infinite number of tasks at home.

In both the first and second schematics of the circuitry, you can see the position that the chip occupies, which basically controls the IRQs of the peripherals in a much more efficient way.

So it is more efficient to share functions in this way with the chip integrated on the board.
Effectively, that's right. Part of the processor's functions are supported by the ARM9 secondary which is much more powerful than the chips implemented by other motherboards. To give us an idea, it is similar to making a software RAID that is supported by the processor or that the RAID controller has its own processor. In fact, the improvement is of the order of 10-15% but in situations with a lot of use of the Internet, for example, it can be higher.
