Corporate Social Responsibility

Home Corporate Social Responsibility

En Sistemas Informáticos Europeos We prefer to call this social commitment Responsible Capitalism.

The reason is that we believe that any company's approach to business is not at odds with concepts such as: ethics, social support, sustainability, solidarity, etc.

Luckily for all of us we live in a country belonging to the so-called first world or developed countries. However, there are countries in the so-called third world (we prefer to define them as impoverished countries). They are peoples who have great natural wealth, but globalization and ruthless capitalism have turned them into less than nothing.

Our commitment is logically with Spanish NGOs, but they mainly focus their interest on these countries and others that operate directly in them.

Our collaboration over time has been involved with different NGOs (we publish from the most current to the oldest):

  1. Filmmakers in Action: We found out about this project led by people linked to the audiovisual field 5 years ago and we found it very interesting, for the reason of bringing the people of Senegal, culture and cinema closer together. Luckily, it is a country that does not go hungry, but we do not always have a positive image of them. Changing that image and bringing the culture of Senegal to Spain and vice versa, this is the objective of this NGO. Logically as part of this, we have carried out many activities: camps with the children, a computer workshop, collaboration on the web, etc.

2. SAR Spain, salvage and rescue: Giving them computer and communications support, emergency material and logistical collaboration.

Rescue SAR Spain

2. Luisa Mercado Foundation (Nicaragua, founded by the renowned writer Sergio Ramirez) within the framework of "the coffee route for young people" and the seed project, supporting them in the development of their website, negotiations with organizations in Spain and participating in the on-site projects: www.larutadelcafeparajovenes.com

larutadelcafe

3. Psychiatry and Life Foundation: Giving hosting to its diffusion via the web, computer network support and collaboration in joint projects. Psychiatryandlife.

4.KARUNA DANA Foundation: With economic aid, personal collaborations from our staff, etc… karunadana.org.

All our collaboration is not limited only to economic donations, but in most cases we provide computer knowledge, logistical support, procedures before the organization, etc.

Therefore, it is important that our clients know that a part of their money and support is destined for these purposes that Sistemas Informáticos Europeos He considers it a way of giving back to the world what he has received from it.

We know that researchers, scientists, mathematicians, and science people are especially sensitive to all of these issues.

To the extent possible and thanks to our staff, we personally supervise the aid we provide to these NGOs, to guarantee that our efforts and money, which are partly yours, the clients, have the destination for which they were assigned.

We believe in a slightly fairer world, we want this century to be the beginning of a new era, for the old and sectarian mentality to give way to a new mentality, to a world with:

  • Many things in common, but not alienated by globalization
  • That CSR give way to a responsible capitalism where the result of the impact of our activity is taken into account, fully responsible
  • We want sustainability to become a real flow worldwide in development that is respectful of the environment
  • That impoverished countries find their way of doing fair business, instead of living on handouts

At SIE we feel moved when a child looks at us, when we have a cup of coffee savoring the effort of hard-working hands, when we see Roberto and his dog (President of SAR Spain) save someone buried who could be ourselves, when a boy recovers the culture of his ancestors. In short, when something is well done.
