SIE BRINGS TO MARKET THE FIRST 260 CORES x86 MACHINE

27 March, 2013UncategorizedRaúl Díaz

The first 260 core x86 machine for SIE is already operational. Based on Sandy Bridge and Intel Phi Technology, it allows inside one machine the same number of cores as our SIE LADON cluster do.

The main advantage of the Intel Phi vs. the GPU classic solutions is that it is not necessary to write the code again.

The new Intel Cluster Studio and its brother C++, allows, in a very easy manner, the use of the same code just adding some lines of it.
